After losing their first two games in IPL 2025, five-time champions Mumbai Indians finally got off the mark with a home win against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Mumbai Indians lost their first game against CSK by 4 wickets and went on to lose their second game by 36 runs against the Gujarat Titans. Notably, MI played their first two games in away conditions and played their third game in their home venue – Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
