Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Thursday dismissed claims that the government plans to blend ethanol with Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), saying there is no such proposal under consideration and urging people not to spread misinformation about aviation safety, reported the PTI. His remarks came after former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the government was planning to mix ethanol with ATF, raising concerns over flight safety. In a post on X, Naidu described the claims as “completely false and irresponsible”. He said there is no proposal to blend ethanol with aviation fuel and warned that spreading incorrect information about aviation safety could create unnecessary anxiety among air travellers. The response comes amid a crucial examination of the complete thrust control module that is still underway in Seattle.
