A few months ago, the NCB submitted a three-year roadmap to the Union Home Ministry for Operation Global-Hunt — a mission launched to dismantle 100 drug networks run by India’s fugitives abroad, including in Dubai, Canada and Europe. In two separate operations on 2 April 2025, Suhail Basheer and Tofik Najir Khan — wanted by the Kerala and Gujarat Police, respectively — were brought to India and landed at Cochin International Airport under heavy security. A third fugitive, Aaditya Jain, who was wanted by the Rajasthan Police, was brought back two days later on 4 April and landed at Jaipur International Airport.
