The deceased was identified as Meenakshi Mittal, administrator of Saraswati Paradise International Public School in Housing Board Colony, Sanjauli. According to police, unidentified assailants arrived at the school around 7.30 p.m. and opened fire. Three rounds were allegedly fired, and Mittal sustained a gunshot wound to the head. She died on the spot. Police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and secured the area. A forensic examination of the site was conducted and evidence was collected, officials said. A case of murder has been registered and an investigation has been launched into all aspects of the incident. Special police teams have been constituted to identify and arrest the accused, while an extensive search operation is underway, police said. According to the official statement, the move is aimed at providing greater flexibility and more opportunities to engineering graduates seeking induction into the Air Force officer cadre. As per the new guidelines, eligible candidates with valid GATE scores will now be able to apply for direct shortlisting to the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) without appearing for the preliminary written examination conducted through the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). Under the new scheme, candidates applying through GATE scores will be shortlisted based on merit for further testing at the AFSBs. ‘Totally illegal’: Owner of Gurgaon’s French Farms says industrial park blocked main gate with unlawful wall | Delhi News

An 83-year-old Frenchman who has been running a popular organic farm in Gurgaon district for more than three decades has alleged that an industrial park and warehousing company has erected an illegal cement wall along one side of his three-acre property, entirely blocking its main gate and cutting off all access through it. Roger Langbour, a retired French Air Force officer who has run French Farms with his wife Anita Sinha Langbour since purchasing the land in 1994, has alleged that the wall came up suddenly on March 8, and is intended to force him to sell the property. Langbour has alleged sustained harassment from the warehousing company, Horizon Industrial Parks, for the past three years. He has taken up the matter with the local administration, and alleges that police and village officials have not acted effectively on his complaints. “They (the company) want to take my land, it is totally illegal.
