Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shaadi review: This Sanjay Mishra film has gentle concept, weighed down by predictable writing

Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shaadi review: This Sanjay Mishra film has gentle concept, weighed down by predictable writing

Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri ShadiCast: Sanjay Mishra, Mahima Chaudhary, Vyom Yadav, Pallak LalwaniDirector: Siddhant Raj SinghRating: ★★ Some films sound nice on paper, as a concept, maybe even just as a one-liner. Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shaadi, despite how hard it tries, belongs to that category. Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi review: Sanjay Mishra and Mahima Chaudhary in a still from the movie. What is the plot? It is a sweet idea, no doubt. The story of this Siddhant Raj Singh directorial revolves around widower Durlabh Prasad (Sanjay Mishra), father to Murli (Vyom). Murli’s girlfriend’s family opposes their marriage because there is no woman in Durlabh’s household. This prompts Murli to find his father a new wife, and himself, a mother. Enter Babita Singh (Mahima Chaudhary). The problem is that beyond this setup, very little actually happens. The film moves along, making you chuckle only by the odd one-liner. The funniest moment arrives when Durlabh, trying to explain Babita’s presence to another character, sums it up with, “Samajh le Mahima Choudhary hai.” One only wishes …

“If IPL 2025 Doesn’t Happen In A Week’s Time…”: Ex-England Star’s Gentle Reminder To India

The Indian Premier League 2025 has been postponed for a week due to the escalated tensions between India and Pakistan. As uncertainity looms over the edition, former England batter Dawid Malan has shared a gentle reminder for India. Notably, India are set to play a five-match Test series against England, starting June 20. It will be the start of the campaign for India in the World Test Championship cycle 2025-27. Malan reminded India of the series and said that if the tournament fails to get resumed after a week, it will might be moved to September. “If it doesn’t happen in a week’s time in India or Sri Lanka or somewhere like that like that, I suppose they will start in September. They got a massive Test series coming up against England in a few months’ time, and the IPL has to be finished before that or start after that; logistically, it is quite a headache for the organisers,” Dawid Malan said, speaking on Al Arabiya. “I guess they have to wait and …

In the passing away of coach Viswanatham, the father of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, badminton lost a gentle giant | Badminton News

Tall, quiet, sturdy and cheerful. Just like the coconut trees that made the coastal district of Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema, one of the most pleasant places in Andhra. R Kasi Viswanatham, father of India’s brightest doubles star, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, was the coolest ‘badminton dad’ in India, a towering figure who gave the country one of its finest athletes, while he remained gently and graciously in the background. His passing on Thursday, after a cardiac arrest, en route Delhi to watch his son get feted with the Khel Ratna, at age 65, cast a pall of gloom on the Indian badminton fraternity. The gentle giant was no more. Kasi Viswanatham will forever stay imprinted in memory for one of the most endearing things uttered, that shaped the sport in India. Like his towering father, a teenaged Satwik had a massive leap — just like fellow giants from this coastal Andhra district with its volleyball-loving spikers, a talent base that might be the best-kept secret of Indian sport. With that lethal jump smash (he eventually set a …

Movie Review: ‘The Colors Within’ is a gentle stunner | Bollywood

Kids movies so often bear little of the actual lived-in experience of growing up, but Yamada Naoko’s luminous anime “The Colors Within” gently reverberates with the doubts and yearnings of young life. Movie Review: ‘The Colors Within’ is a gentle stunner Totsuko is a student at an all-girls Catholic boarding school. In the movie’s opening, she explains how she experiences colors differently. She feels colors more than sees them, like an aura she senses from another person. “When I see a pretty color, my heart quickens,” she says. Totsuko, an exuberant, uncensored soul, has the tendency to blurt things out before she quite intends to. She accidentally tells a nun that her color is beautiful. In the midst of a dodgeball game, she’s transfixed by the purple and yellow blur of a volleyball hurtling toward her — so much so that she’s happily dazed when it smacks her in the head. Like Totsuko, “The Colors Within” wears its heart on its sleeve. Painted with a light, watercolor-y brush, the movie is softly impressionistic. In one …
