3 min readNew DelhiUpdated: Jul 3, 2026 06:39 PM IST Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Glasses have surfaced in a new series of leaked tutorial videos, offering one of the clearest looks yet at how the Android XR wearable is expected to operate.  The clips reveal the smart glasses’ physical controls, touch gestures, camera shortcuts, LED indicators, and integration with Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem. While Samsung is also partnering with Gentle Monster for additional frame styles, the core controls are expected to remain consistent across models. According to the leaked walkthrough, the Galaxy Glasses feature a touch-sensitive panel on the right temple. Kadam said the government will also train security agencies and enforcement officials to deal with the emerging challenges posed by AI-powered smart wearables. (Representative Image/iStock) It will send the recommendations to the central government with a request to make relevant changes in concerned rules and policies as legislators have raised concerns over its misuse. It will also train security agencies and law enforcement personnel to regulate and respond to the use of such devices in public spaces, government offices and other sensitive locations, citing concerns over public safety and national security. The announcement was made by Kadam in the state assembly on Tuesday in response to concerns raised by legislators over the implications of AI-enabled smart glasses for privacy, women’s safety, and state and national security. Snap’s ,195 Specs Take Aim at Apple Vision Pro, Meta AI Glasses

Snap’s $2,195 Specs Take Aim at Apple Vision Pro, Meta AI Glasses

Snap is trying to make smart glasses more than a camera on your face. The company unveiled the next generation of its augmented reality eyewear on Tuesday, adding more advanced features and a far higher price tag. The revamped Specs will cost $2,195, but offer a much broader augmented reality experience than previous editions. A high-resolution projection on the lenses can show notifications, directions, and third-party apps, while users can speak to a built-in artificial intelligence assistant. Cameras on the glasses provide contextual information to the assistant, giving it a better understanding of what the wearer is looking at. “We believe augmented reality is the most natural way to use a computer because it aligns with how people already experience the world: visually, socially, and in three dimensions,” the company wrote in a news release. Snap is trying to carve out a market between restrictive, high-functionality headsets such as the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest, and the lightweight, screen-free AI glasses Meta sells through its Ray-Ban and Oakley partnerships. It is similar to the …

Snap spins off Specs Inc. ahead of consumer AR glasses launch this year| India News

Snap Inc. believes spinning off its upcoming augmented reality glasses into a separate business entity is the ideal platform for the much-awaited product line, expected to launch later this year. Specs Inc. says developers are already building with Specs, including gaming and education-focused applications, as well as productivity workflows Called Specs Inc., this subsidiary, operating independently, is expected to provide what the American tech company hopes will be greater operational focus, as well as scope for new partnerships and the potential for minority investment as part of capital flexibility. Simply put, this would mean Specs Inc. can focus on developing its upcoming Specs augmented reality glasses and also secure investment for this foray. Specs Inc., when it finally rolls out its first smart glasses, will compete with the likes of Meta and Ray-Ban, as well as the upcoming Google Android XR glasses. “Specs are launching at an important time, as artificial intelligence transforms the way that we use our computers. This deal on smart glasses was too good for my husband to pass up

This deal on smart glasses was too good for my husband to pass up

The last thing I need is a new Amazon Echo smart speaker. As The Verge’s smart home reviewer, I currently have a dozen scattered around my home for testing. But when Amazon’s Echo Frames smart glasses went on sale for $115 for Cyber Monday, down from $300, it was an offer my husband couldn’t refuse. He chose the prescription-ready model (over the blue-light-filtering option), which meant he also got the Echo Spot, Amazon’s handy $80 smart speaker/smart alarm clock, thrown in for free. That’s a total savings of $265 and a total tally of about 13 smart speakers for me. The Echo Spot, which is normally $80, is my top pick for an Amazon Alexa smart speaker to use as a smart alarm clock. It’s a great way to add smart features, such as playing music with your voice and controlling devices like smart lights, to your bedside table. But of course, the real draw here was the smart glasses. My husband has been eyeing my Echo Frames ever since I picked them up for …

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are at their best-ever price for Black Friday

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are at their best-ever price for Black Friday

Meta may have just released the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) at the end of October, but they’re not significantly different from the last-gen model introduced in 2021. The overall experience is very similar, which is why the original Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses remain a great buy, especially now that they’re on sale for an all-time low of around $238.99 ($60 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target for Black Friday. Like their successor, the first-gen Ray-Ban Meta let you listen to music, snap photos, record 1080p video, and make hands-free calls thanks to a five-microphone array. You can upload the resulting photos and videos — and even livestream— to Facebook or Instagram via the companion app. The glasses also support a host of AI-powered features, letting you use your voice to take photos, pull up the history of a landmark, ask questions, or get recipes based on what’s in your fridge. They can even translate multiple languages in real time, helping you with Spanish, Italian, French, and other languages you may be less familiar with. …

The Xreal One glasses are great for gaming, and are cheaper than ever

The Xreal One glasses are great for gaming, and are cheaper than ever

I’ll admit it, I thought AR glasses like the Xreal One were a joke when I first heard about them. But they clicked for me as a gamer when I realized they could be plugged into a Steam Deck or an iPad to have my own huge, private display no matter where I am. If you want to be fully immersed in your games and movies (without wearing a bulky VR headset), there are some great AR glasses on sale for their lowest prices ever for Black Friday. The Xreal One glasses are packed with features and cost $399.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, which is $180 off the original price. This model will look unassuming on your face, save for the USB-C cable you’ll attach to its ear hook to connect your device. The One supports a fast 120Hz refresh rate at 1080p, and its Micro OLED screens provide excellent contrast. The arms of the glasses have built-in Bose-tuned speakers that pipe audio downwards into your ears. One of my favorite features in the …
