Actor Divyabharathi took to social media on Wednesday to blast director Naresh Kuppili, who goes online by Naressh K Lee, for making misogynistic comments on her and her co-star Sudigali Sudheer for not speaking up in her support. The actor, who worked with both in the Telugu movie GOAT, lashed out at Naressh for calling her a misogynistic term. Here’s what happened. Vijay’s latest release, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), maintained steady momentum at the box office until Monday, when it saw a 50 per cent drop in collection, bringing in Rs 14.75 crore. After a lukewarm Monday performance, the film is expected to see a further dip on Tuesday. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 5.5 crore on Tuesday, including advance bookings till 7 pm. This brings the film’s total domestic collection to Rs 157.25 crore. GOAT had an overall 25.17 per cent Tamil occupancy on Tuesday. While the film enjoyed 90 per cent occupancy in Chennai and Pondicherry theatres during its opening weekend, Tuesday’s occupancy dropped to 38.50 per cent. Other cities like Bengaluru and Madurai also saw lower occupancy, with 11 per cent and 23 per cent, respectively. However, the movie may see a slight boost in occupancy during night shows.
