PV Sindhu loses to GM Tunjung in quarterfinals
Indian shuttler PV Sindhu exited the 2024 Denmark Open Super 750 in the quarterfinals on Friday, losing to fifth seed Gregoria Tunjung of Indonesia. The match lasted just under an hour, with Tunjung winning 2-1 (21-13, 16-21, 21-9). This marks only the third victory for Tunjung against Sindhu in eleven encounters, with Sindhu having won ten of them. With Sindhu’s exit, the Indian challenge at the Denmark Open comes to an end. Right from the first game, Tunjung asserted her authority in the match, racing to an early lead and maintaining it throughout, ultimately winning the game 21-13 quite comfortably.
