MAHE and Griffith University expand India-Australia academic partnership with dual Ph.D programme

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) | Photo Credit: File photo Manipal Academy of Higher Institution of Eminence (MAHE) in collaboration with Griffith University, Australia has launched a ‘Dual Award Doctoral Programme’ and formalised a joint commitment to establish the Griffith-MAHE Centre of Research Excellence at the MAHE Bengaluru campus. This initiative aims at addressing the growing need for globally connected and interdisciplinary doctoral training. The dual doctoral programme provides Ph.D scholars with access to academic supervisors from both MAHE and Griffith University. They will be enrolled in both the institutions simultaneously and will be awarded with doctoral degrees from both institutions upon completion. Scholars pursuing research will also earn a stipend ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 per month. Commenting on the partnership, Abhinav Bhatia, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, South Asia, Trade and Investment Queensland, said, “Queensland and India share a strong and growing relationship across education, research and innovation. Adam Griffith Appointed Cricket Australia’s National Pace Bowling Coach

The former Tasmania first-class cricketer will work with the country’s men’s teams, focusing on the development and preparation of pace bowlers, said Cricket Australia (CA) on Friday. Griffith transitions to this role from his position as assistant coach of Victoria. Based at CA’s National Cricket Centre in Brisbane, he will oversee a range of responsibilities, including leading the national strategy for pace bowler development, managing the preparation of national pacers, supporting the Australian men’s and Australia A men’s teams, and mentoring pace bowling coaches. The Cricket Australia (CA) has appointed Adam Griffith as National Pace Bowling Coach taking on responsibility for the development and preparation of next-generation pace bowlers for Australia’s Men’s teams. The role was first advertised back in October as an Australia-based position to oversee the management of fast bowlers across international and domestic programmes. He was an assistant coach of Victoria before taking over the role. “I’m delighted Adam will bring his extensive experience to Cricket Australia as National Pace Bowling Coach and become an important part of our coaching set-up.” “Adam’s expertise across all formats will be invaluable in the preparation of pace bowlers for Australia’s national men’s teams,” said Australia head coach Andrew McDonald.
