Gurumurthy, convener of Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (DSS), said that his organisation will not tolerate the misuse of the title of the committee in any manner. A Bhadravati court upheld the committee constituted under his leadership as genuine. In a press conference in Shivamogga on March 14, Mr. Gurumurthy said that the Additional Senior Civil Judge of Bhadravati, on February 10, 2025, dismissed an appeal filed by Srinivas of Hennur in Bengaluru and Sathya of Bhadravati, who challenged the order of the trial court. The trial court, in its judgment in March 2021, ordered that the committee formed under his leadership was genuine. “There have been many organisations in Karnataka with a suffix added to Dalit Sangharsh Samiti. Now, the court order is clear that our organisation is genuine. Nobody else can misuse its title. If anybody misuses the name, we will file complaints across Karnataka,” he said. S.K. In what can only be described as yet another ‘Peak Bengaluru moment’ to go with several that the city keeps producing, an auto driver was pictured displaying a signage which stated that he was “a professional table-tennis coach.” A post on Wednesday morning from a Bengaluru-based Human Resources professional has since garnered eyeballs. As it turns out, Gurumurthy N, the auto driver, is a former table tennis player and a certified coach, with a LinkedIn page to boot.
