Have you heard? Alia Bhatt calls Alpha one of her most enjoyable film experiences

Loving the femme fatale Women kicking butt on screen never gets old. So when Alia Bhatt says Alpha was “one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had on a film set”, we’re inclined to believe her. The actor says, “There was something really exciting about stepping into this world of action, scale, and adventure. It pushed me in ways I hadn’t experienced before, and I loved every bit of it.” What she loved most was that “at the heart of it were two women leading all the action.” Adding that such opportunities are rare, she says, “We don’t get to see that very often. Alpha is a celebration of attitude and a celebration at the movies.” Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shiv Rawail of The Railway Men fame, Alpha also stars Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, with Hrithik Roshan in an extended cameo. Recently, the actor starred in Subedaar alongside actor Anil Kapoor, and her portrayal brought her a lot of appreciation. As she is revelling in the love, one special compliment has hit her in the heart and it came from filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who publicly insisted that the actor “deserves better opportunities” than the one given to her by Bollywood. Radhikka Madan (Photo: Instagram) Reacting to the same, Radhikka Madan says, “When I first read that, I was almost teary-eyed because when you come in this industry, you need to make a mark for yourself and you want to be noticed by these veteran, legend filmmakers. Hansal Mehta recalls how Omerta was saved by Vivek Agnihotri from censorship: ‘He fought the most with the censor board | Bollywood News

If you look closely at Hansal Mehta’s filmography, there is what one could describe as a Muslim trilogy: Shahid, Omerta and Faraaz. As hard-hitting and politically incisive as these films are, they also deal with subjects that are risky to tackle in today’s socio-political climate, especially Omerta, which chronicled the life of terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh. Hansal recently, in an exclusive conversation with SCREEN, opened up about how difficult it was to make a film like Omerta and the battles he faced with censorship, with the CBFC demanding multiple cuts. In a particularly acrimonious phase of these negotiations, he found an unlikely ally in filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. Recalling a deleted scene that the Censor Board strongly objected to, Hansal said, “There was a scene where the Indian National Anthem is playing in the jail. He’s (Omar) in jail, it’s Independence Day, the entire jail is there, the flag has been hoisted, the National Anthem is on. And this guy has taken off his pants and he’s peeing in his cell. He hasn’t gone out, he’s …

According to a close source, Rasha Thadani was among the first choices to star in the romantic drama film. However, due to her upcoming projects, her busy schedule has forced her to opt out of the project directed by Pellissery and produced by Hansal Mehta. The source explained, “Rasha was the top contender for Hansal Mehta and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s upcoming romantic drama. The film, which was announced in October, has been the talk of the town, and while Rasha was approached by the makers, unfortunately there is a date clash due to which she is not able to take on a script she truly loved.” Moreover, the source added that the shoot for her …
