Hyderabad Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has enrolled himself for the leadership programme at Harvard University, becoming the first Chief Minister in the country to enrol into the Ivy league. The Chief Minister will attend “Leadership 21st Century’” (Chaos, Conflict and Courage) programme at Kennedy School of Government of the Harvard University. Classes will be held from January 25 to 30 and the Chief Minister would be on campus of Kennedy School at Cambridge, Massachusetts. The class will have students from over 20 countries spread over five continents and Mr. Revanth Reddy is slated to undertake classes, assignments and submit “home works” besides executing group projects with fellow global participants. The US Embassy in India has cautioned students that skipping classes or leaving the program without informing authorities will lead to visa revocation, as the Trump administration mounts scrutiny of overseas students. “If you drop out, skip classes, or leave your program of study without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for future US visas,” the embassy posted on social media platform X.  The warning comes when the Trump administration is embroiled in a battle with Harvard University. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revoked Harvard’s certification to admit foreign students for the 2025-26 academic year. The university sued the US administration in the district court of Massachusetts, which blocked the order, providing temporary relief. The Trump administration has already ended Federal grants worth more than $2 billion to Harvard. It also aims to cancel remaining contracts, the NYT reported.
