His career, spanning over four decades, is marked by iconic comedies, poignant dramas, and award-winning masterpieces that have left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.  Priyadarshan Soman Nair was born on January 30, 1957, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Growing up in a culturally rich environment, he was exposed to literature and storytelling early on. His father worked as a librarian, which gave young Priyadarshan access to a wide range of books.
