(Reuters/ Representational) According to the Alameda County Immigration Legal and Education Partnership, the boy, his five-year-old brother and their mother, Lesly Rodriguez Gutierrez, were taken into custody Tuesday while reporting to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement office under a supervision program that requires regular check-ins. The family was later deported to Colombia. Advocates say the six-year-old, who is deaf and uses a cochlear implant, was not given the assistive equipment needed to help him communicate. A relative waiting outside the building attempted to pass along the devices but was unable to do so before immigration authorities detained the family. The Great Flood Ending Explained: Did An-na Escape the Disaster or Did Humanity End Long Before?

Netflix’s The Great Flood starts as a survival thriller but ends as a layered sci-fi drama. Starring Kim Da-mi as An-na and Park Hae-soo as Hee-jo, the film slowly reveals that the disaster is only part of a much bigger experiment. The ending raises a key question: did An-na really survive the flood, or had humanity already reached its end before the final scene? The Great Flood ending explained: What is real and what is not? At first, the film shows a sudden global flood caused by an asteroid impact in Antarctica. An-na struggles to escape a submerged apartment building with Ja-in, the child she has raised as her son. This part of the story is real. The flood is actually happening, and governments already know that Earth cannot be saved. Stray dogs case: We will play video, ask what is humanity, SC tells petitioner

Responding to a petitioner in the stray dogs case who objected to some rules framed by the Delhi municipal corporation saying “inhuman” treatment was being meted out to them, the Supreme Court on Thursday said a video will be played in the next hearing, “asking you what is humanity”. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, who is appearing in the stray dogs case, told a bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta that a three-judge special bench which was scheduled to assemble on Thursday to hear the matter was cancelled. “It will come on January 7,” Justice Nath said. Sibal said, “The problem is that the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi), in the meantime, has framed some rules which are completely contrary”. When the bench said it would consider the matter on January 7, Sibal said the authorities will implement the rules in December itself. “They will be implementing it and they will be removing the dogs. They don`t have shelters,” he said. Justice Nath said, “It is alright Mr Sibal. Let them do it, we …

Janhvi Kapoor says mom Sridevi’s death was turned into a meme, shares Dharmendra’s death shows things are now worse: ‘Humanity in shambles’ | Bollywood News

Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut in 2018 with Dhadak, has been in the spotlight throughout the year—thanks to multiple film releases and Homebound becoming India’s official entry to the Oscars. Ever since her debut, which came just months after the death of her mother, Sridevi, Janhvi has consistently taken up projects that push her as an actor —be it Gunjan Saxena, Good Luck Jerry, Mili, or Mr and Mrs Mahi. Yet for the longest time, she felt that despite the opportunities and fame, she still hadn’t earned people’s respect. That, she now says, has changed. In 2023, during an interview with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story, Janhvi had confessed that she craved respect. In her recent appearance on the same show, she shared how her perspective has evolved. She now firmly believes that “nobody will respect you until you respect yourself.” “Over the past couple of years, one thing I have learnt for sure is that unless you respect yourself, nobody else will,” she said. “Fame came easy to me because of whose daughter …
