Satluj’s Honey Trehan, Diljit Dosanjh top IMDb popular Indian celebs list after film’s takedown | Bollywood News

3 min readMumbaiUpdated: Jul 14, 2026 01:07 PM IST Three days after Honey Trehan’s period investigative thriller Satluj was pulled down from ZEE5 around the world, its director and cast members have found a place in IMDb’s list of Most Popular Indian Celebrities this week. While Trehan tops the list at #1, actors Diljit Dosanjh and Suvinder Vicky have claimed the third and the 11th positions, respectively. Why is Satluj making waves? Earlier this month, Indian OTT platform ZEE5 released Satluj across the globe, seemingly ending the three-year censorship battle it’s faced. However, merely two days after the film released on streaming, the Indian government pulled it down within the country, claiming that it bypassed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), even though the OTT release of a film doesn’t merit CBFC certification in India. A committee formed by the Centre to review Satluj also claimed that it can serve as “fodder” for “hostile elements” outside India to use it against national interests, which is likely to “threaten” the country’s “security”. Satluj’s IMDb rating of 9.5 disappears; Sanjay Gupta calls the platform ‘bogus’ | Bollywood News

Days after being taken down from ZEE5, Honey Trehan’s Satluj has suffered another setback. IMDb has removed the film’s user rating from its portal. On Tuesday, Satluj was listed as the highest-rated Indian film on IMDb, with a 9.5 rating. However, by Wednesday, the rating had disappeared from the platform. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta took to X after noticing the development and questioned the credibility of IMDb’s ratings. He wrote, “Rated 9.5 till yesterday. Gone today. Not that I ever trusted or believed in IMDB ratings. But this proves how bogus they are.” RATED 9.5 TILL YESTERDAY. GONE TODAY.Not that I ever trusted or believed in IMDB ratings. And now this IMDb rating… we don’t know who had a …

With each passing day, a new development around Satluj creates headlines. A still from Satluj. When this author checked the rating aggregator website on Wednesday afternoon, there were IMDb ratings available for other recent releases such as Alia Bhatt‘s Alpha, Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle, but the 9.5 rating for Satluj (previously titled Panjab’95) was missing. The film has been at the center of a massive controversy ever since it was dropped last week on Zee5- before being pulled down within two days. Before this, the Honey Trehan-directorial had been stuck, with the Censor Board asking for 127 cuts originally. Honey and Trehan both refused their name to be associated with the film if even one cut had taken place. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has also noticed the IMDb rating removal. He took to X on Wednesday. Mohanlal, Mammootty, Nayanthara Starter Spy Action Thriller Patriot Malayalam Movie Review, Cast, IMDB Rating Full Report Check Here

Patriot Movie Review & Rating: We all grew up listening to the apocryphal tale about Alfred Nobel donating a lion’s share of his wealth to establish the Nobel Prizes out of regret for being cited solely as the inventor of dynamite, which was widely used to make military explosives, right? While this anecdote has often been debated, with some even dismissing it, there’s no doubt that human beings have created quite a few Frankensteins. In director Mahesh Narayanan’s Patriot, we meet one such creation — Periscope, which un/surprisingly sounds and appears a lot like Pegasus — and we follow one of its key minds’ efforts to save millions of innocent people from falling prey to its misuse by those in power. Dr Daniel James (Mammootty) works at the DRW under the National Defence Ministry as a scientific advisor. One day, he is summoned by Minister Nalini Ramakrishnan (Revathy) to warn him that Periscope, which they masterminded for national security, is being misused by political heavyweight JP Sundaram (an impressive Rajiv Menon). Worse still, JPS has …

Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia, Salman Khan Action Drama Raja Shivaji Movie Review, Cast, IMDB Rating Full Report Check Here

Raja Shivaji Movie Review: These days, the disclaimer becomes more telling than the movie itself. Raja Shivaji, directed by Riteish Deshmukh who also plays the titular character, is neither a documentary nor a history lesson, we are told; it is basically ia warning that what is about to unfold will be lore, myth and current beliefs, all rolled into one. Despite this, Deshmukh creates a big screen experience firmly rooted in the ultra-colourful Amar Chitra Katha aesthetic. Those with long memories may be swiftly taken back to the impressive figure of the Maratha warrior astride his horse, brandishing a sword while fighting off hordes of Mughal invaders. The film makes no attempt to sully its black-and-white universe with any moral complexities: Marathas good, Mughals, and others of their ilk — Nizamshahi and Adilshahi — terrible, and there endeth the story. The child marriage, shown between a young Shivaji and a younger Sai, is turned into a cutesy strand; the constant switching of loyalties between the Hindu rulers of the time is glossed over, and the …
