(ANI) Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was bid farewell by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) workers on Saturday, and performed the immersion of his ashes at Agni Theertham in Tamil Nadu’s Rameswaram. Pawar’s last rites were held with full state honours on January 29 at the Vidya Pratishthan ground in Baramati, where his sons lit the funeral pyre and conducted the final rituals. The funeral saw the attendance of several prominent leaders and dignitaries, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, and actor Riteish Deshmukh, who paid their last respects to the late leader.
