India sign off from Paralympics 2024 with unprecedented 29 medals as athletes create history in Paris – India TV

Having come into the Games with its largest contingent of 84, the Indian athletes displayed unparalleled resolute to shine bright in the French capital. After the last-standing athlete Pooja Ojha couldn’t qualify for the final in the women’s kayak single 200m KL1 sprint canoeing event, India’s campaign came to an end on Sunday. The 29 medals include seven gold, nine silver and 13 bronze as India surpassed their previous best of 19 medals in the Tokyo Games by some distance. Avani kicks off her campaign; two medal events lined up – India TV

Image Source : PTI Indian shooter Avani Lekhara will be in action at the Paris Olympics on August 30 After mixed results on the opening day, the Indian contingent will return to action on Day 2 with two medal events scheduled at the Paris Paralympics 2024. The two-time Paralympic medalist Avani Lekhra will begin her highly-anticipated campaign while the young archer will feature in the round of 16 match on Friday, August 30. India failed to open their medals account on Day 1 but Sheetal made the headlines with her season-best performance in the ranking round of the women’s individual compound event. She scored 703 points to finish second in the ranking round and will return to action on Saturday. In the first medal match on Friday, Karam Jyoti and Sakshi Kasana will feature in the women’s discus throw F55 final.
