The family of Sai Teja Nukarapu, a 22-year-old from Telangana’s Khammam who was shot dead at a store in Wisconsin, US, last Friday, is struggling to come to terms with his untimely death. “He was here not too long ago, celebrating his birthday, and now he is no more. We are unable to accept that. It breaks us to imagine how violently he died. He was such a lovely person, would never say anything bad or harm anyone,” Koteshwar Rao, his father said. “Sai was a cricket buff with an extremely friendly nature. One of his friends in the US, who called us with the news, said that Sai, who was working as a part-time cashier at a store, had stayed back even though his shift had ended to help a colleague.
