Indian government refutes report of Elon Musk joining Modi-Trump phone call| India News

The government on Saturday refuted a media report that billionaire Elon Musk joined a phone call between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump this week, with the external affairs ministry saying only the two leaders participated in the conversation. Ministry says only PM Modi and President Trump participated in the March 24 call, denying reports of Elon Musk’s presence. New Delhi: Ukraine has lodged a protest with the Indian government over the March 13 arrest of six of its nationals who Indian investigative agencies claim repeatedly entered Myanmar through Mizoram –along with a US national with a self-professed colourful past–and trained ethnic insurgent groups in drone warfare. The six Ukranians were arrested from Delhi and Lucknow airports as part of a National Investigation Agency operation on March 13 that also nabbed a US national, Mathew Aaron Van Dyke, from Kolkata airport. On Monday, the seven were remanded to NIA custody by a Delhi court till March 27. NIA told the court it also is hunting for eight other Ukrainians. All 15 had entered India illegally on tourists visas, the agency said, adding that the ethnic groups they trained in Myanmar worked closely with anti-India insurgent groups. According to official sources cited by Money Control, refiners have been instructed to prioritise LPG output and avoid diverting key raw materials for other petrochemical products. “Indian government has passed an order to all public and private refiners to produce more LPG and not divert or utilise propane and butane for other petrochemical products,” sources told Money Control. The directive has been issued by invoking emergency powers under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, which allows the government to direct companies to increase production of essential commodities during potential supply shortages.
