Technopark on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HiLITE Group for setting up their first IT Park project in Thiruvananthapuram at the Phase-3 campus of the Technopark here.  The ‘Yoo Hub Trivandrum’ project envisages a 5.15 lakh square feet IT Park spread over 18 floors on 1.88 acres of land. Sandip Kumar, CEO of Technopark, and Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, exchanged the MoU in the presence of Seeram Samabasiva Rao, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT and Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister. Industries Minister P. Rajeeve said that the project is expected to generate approximately 4,000 direct IT jobs, contributing significantly to Kerala’s growing technology ecosystem and supporting long-term industry advancement. In a bid to ensure domestic capability build-up in the long run, the Centre on Friday said it has signed a Rs 7,995 crore agreement with the United States for sustainment support of the Indian Navy’s fleet of MH60R helicopters through Follow-on Support and Follow-on Supply Support for a period of five years.  The Ministry of Defence said, in a statement, that it has signed Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) with the US government under the Foreign Military Sales programme of the US, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh here. Sustainment Support is a comprehensive package which includes provisioning of spares, support equipment, product support, training and technical support, repair and replenishment of components and setting up of ‘Intermediate’ level component repairs and Periodic Maintenance Inspection facilities in India. The Tamil Nadu government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Evervan Kothari Footwear Limited to establish non-leather footwear manufacturing projects in Karur and Perambalur districts with an investment of ₹5,000 crore.
