Will Eddie Munson return in Stranger Things Season 5? Fans push theories while creators insist he’s gone for good

Eddie Munson’s run on Stranger Things lasted just one season, but he did not exactly slip quietly out of the fandom’s memory. When Season 4 wrapped, Eddie went out fighting a cloud of Demobats in the Upside Down, guitar in hand and no hesitation. Joseph Quinn delivered a character who landed fast with viewers, and his death hit harder than many expected. Will Eddie Munson return in Stranger Things 5?(Netflix) Since then, the question never really cooled: Does Eddie come back in Season 5? Even with what played out on screen, fans keep digging for any hint, any loophole, anything at all. Joseph Quinn plays it safe, creators shut the door Joseph Quinn did not offer much clarity either. At a 2024 convention, someone in the crowd asked him straight up if he would return for the final season. “I don’t know,” he said, keeping things vague enough to send fans home with theories. The Duffers, though, did not leave the same wiggle room. According to Elle Magazine, they have said repeatedly that Eddie will …

A.P. Congress leader urges CM to insist on Special Category Status for State

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice-president Kolanukonda Shivaji on Saturday (May 10) said the State Cabinet, which passed a resolution in its recent meeting declaring Amaravati as the permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh and has urged the Centre to amend the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, to reflect this, should also have insisted on the grant of Special Category Status (SCS) for the State. In a statement, Mr. Shivaji said when the Cabinet approved a proposal for an amendment to the law in the sub-section (2) of Section 5, determining the name of the capital of the divided State of Andhra Pradesh as Amaravati, what stopped the government from asking the Centre to include Special Category Status in the Act. “The Congress has long been criticised for not drafting the Reorganisation Act properly, now that you have the opportunity, what is stopping you from amending it?” he asked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Referring to the probe initiated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into a multi-crore liquor scam during the YSRCP government, wherein top officials …

“Some Bully Governments Insist On Negotiations”: Khamenei After Trump Threat

“Some Bully Governments Insist On Negotiations”: Khamenei After Trump Threat

Tehran: Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday slammed what he described as bullying tactics a day after US President Donald Trump threatened military action against Iran. “Some bully governments — I really don’t know of any more appropriate term for some foreign figures and leaders than the word bullying — insist on negotiations,” Khamenei told officials after Trump threatened military action if Iran refuses to engage in talks over its nuclear programme. “Their negotiations are not aimed at solving problems, they aim at domination,” Khamenei said. On Friday, Trump said he had written to Iran’s supreme leader, urging new talks on the country’s nuclear programme or face possible military action if it refuses. Khamenei said on Saturday that bullying powers aim to assert their own expectations. “They are setting new expectations that they think will definitely not be met by Iran,” he said, without naming the United States or referring to Trump’s letter. On Friday, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told AFP in an interview that Tehran would not negotiate under “maximum pressure”, although …

Many Facets of the ‘Sports Quota’ job: ‘They would bar you from sitting on a chair in cabins, and insist you stand and talk’ | Sport-others News

No one prepares a state 400m champion for false starts in the job market. After becoming the Andhra Pradesh quarter mile state champion and picking up 20-25 national-level medals, including the Senior National bronze in 2012, I started trying for a job in 2014-15. I would diligently apply when notifications came out. I’d promptly give trials. Two or three times, I even received offer letters, but they would be withdrawn at the last moment without any explanation. So when I finally landed the Income Tax job in 2023, I was very grateful. Story continues below this ad Yes, the work is almost of a peon. I’m a ‘multi-tasking staff’. The job involves typing letters, serving notices, sorting out mail, filing, and odd jobs in the cash section. When I started playing volleyball and athletics, and won district selection trials in 2009, I didn’t think it would end in a 10.30-6 job in the tapaal section, but at least my officers treated me well, asking me to sit on a chair, and talked properly. At my …

To curb practice of athletes approaching courts after selection trials, sports ministry to insist on recordings and to place an observer

The sports ministry aims to curb the practice of disgruntled athletes moving court after selection trials by introducing an open and transparent selection process. The ministry will push for the trials that are recorded on camera and in the presence of an observer. The process will be done to avoid any kind of premeditated bias while selecting the teams. “All selection trials will be conducted on camera so that it is fair and square for all the athletes,” a ministry source said. Before every major event, such as the Asian Games and Olympics, multiple court cases are filed by athletes after the selection process. Athletes from sports like shooting and boxing have knocked on the door of the court before major tournaments such as the Olympics and World Championships. “Federation can’t exploit in the name of autonomy. Only selections based on merit and performance should matter. The observers will be from the Ministry and Officials of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), and it will be implemented across all the sports,” the source added. Bid …

WPL 2024 Final: Smriti Mandhana and Meg Lanning’s sides have history on the line, but insist on the here and now | Cricket News

The second Women’s Premier League final on Sunday will end a long wait, either way. For starters, neither a Delhi franchise nor Royal Challengers Bangalore have won a title in the Indian Premier League. That will change at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, but it also remains a point of trivia as the teams involved in the title clash have very little to do with that history. It is the here and now that both Smriti Mandhana and Meg Lanning chose to focus on. After qualifying for the playoffs, Mandhana came up with a statement that reminded one of David Fincher’s Fight Club. The only goal was to not talk about the goal, she’d say. Before the final, she elaborated: “It was very important for us to not connect anything with the men’s side because it brings a lot of pressure with it. The idea was to focus on what was happening now and not on the 15 years gone by with the men’s side. So we’re not really correlating anything that’s happened with the men.” …
