Watch: Jamie Carragher apologises to Mohamed Salah for his ‘disgrace’ comment during Liverpool’s Champions League clash against Inter Milan | Football News
Former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher has issued an apology to forward Mohamed Salah for his comments over the latter’s rant, following the club’s 3-3 draw against Leeds United. Carragher said that he loved Salah as a player, but urged him to improve his behaviour. Carragher had called Salah’s comments after the Premier League match ‘a disgrace.’ He added that it wasn’t an emotional outburst from the 33-year-old and stated that when he made a rare appearance in the mixed zone, he and his agent staged an event to cause maximum damage. “Would you like to apologise to Mo, and just say sorry for any disrespect? It just come from passion, you’re a fan, go on, just say it down the lens,” Carragher’s colleague Micah Richards asked him during the CBS Sports’ Champions League show. “Mo, I apologise, I’ve upset you. I love you as the Liverpool player, but you just need to behave yourself off the pitch, “ Carragher said in response.
