A newborn was rescued and three members of an interstate human trafficking network were arrested from Uttam Nagar in West Delhi, police said on Sunday. The three accused have been identified as Yashmin, 30, Anjali, 36, and Jitender 47. They are residents of Uttam Nagar, Malviya Nagar, and Madangir, respectively, said officers. Anjali was previously involved in a case investigated by the CBI, said officers. “Special Staff team received a tip-off about a human trafficking network operating in Uttam Nagar. The team started keeping a watch on the suspects and call detail records of more than 20 numbers were analysed,” said DCP (Dwarka) Ankit Singh.
