Love Insurance Kompany movie review: Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty anchor Vignesh Shivan’s inventive rom-com | Movie-review News

Love Insurance Kompany movie review: Not many Tamil films would think to open with the premise that love can be insured. That you can sign up for a partner the way you sign up for a health plan, with compatibility scores, predicted outcomes, and a structured settlement if things fall apart. Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) does exactly that, and for the better part of its two and a half hours, it makes that idea feel surprisingly human. The year is 2040: Technology has seeped into the core of our daily life and taken over the management of it. A corporation called Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) runs an advanced app that processes your personality data, identifies your ideal match, and essentially guarantees the outcome of your romantic life. The algorithm is the holy gospel, people have to believe what it decides. Into this setup walks Vibe Vaasey, played by Pradeep Ranganathan, a young man who grew up in a community called the Organic World, a place where phones are banned and digital dependency is treated as …

Why Season 7 of Black Mirror is a dark and inventive comeback of the popular show

After a mixed reception to its last two seasons, Black Mirror is back with six new episodes — and this time, it feels like a true return to form. The seventh season re-embraces its sci-fi roots, blending inventive storytelling with the emotional and satirical punch that once defined the series. Unabashedly Self-Indulgent And Unceasingly Inventive

Image was shared on Instagram. (Image courtesy: megalopolisfilm) New Delhi: Unabashedly self-indulgent and deliriously and unceasingly inventive, Megalopolis, Francis Ford Coppola’s intended million swan song might prove to be as much a $120 million folly as an 85-year-old director’s leap of artistic faith. “When you leap into the unknown, you prove you are free,” says one character in the film. If nothing else, Megalopolis is fearless. It is the sort of big-swing filmmaking that only a master who has done enough in a long and eventful career marked by a few of American cinema’s greatest works can attempt without having to worry about proving anything to the industry or to the world at large. The hero, a visionary architect who plans to stop time and change the course of history, may not succeed given the scale of his ambition. The film, …
