Former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal who recently suffered a heart attack during a domestic match held in Bangladesh is on track of his recovery after being hospitalised for treatment. Tamim suffered a cardiac arrest at the Bangladesh Kriria Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) in Savar on Monday Dhaka Premier League match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shine Pukur. Tamim was in critical condition when he was rushed to the hospital, Razeeb Hasan, the medical director at the facility where Tamim received treatment, told reporters on Monday. He also said Tamim Iqbal had to undergo surgery to implant stents to clear an artery blockage. “Tamim’s condition is improving, and he has started walking a little. However, the next 48 to 72 hours remain critical. He must wait at least three months before resuming normal activities, including sports,” Abu Jafar told reporters.
