What US, Iran, Russia say is irrelevant, we have to march forward with a smile: V-P | India News

3 min readNew DelhiJul 18, 2026 05:34 AM IST Underlining the importance of “nation first” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance, Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan on Friday said what other countries say is irrelevant and India should move forward on its own. Speaking at the launch of a book on the 100 years of the RSS, Radhakrishnan said: “As a swayamsewak, PM keeps working relentlessly; Deendayalji’s [Upadhyay] timeless call resonates in mind, ‘keep moving forward’. Whether America says something, Iran says something, Russia says something — that is irrelevant. With a smile we should march forward all the time. That is the only way we can reach the top of the world. There is no need for answering every question of others. Why we should? We have to move on our own. That is the success story of PM’s foreign policy today.” The V-P released the book RSS @100: A Century of Service, Unity & Sacrifice by Shyam Jaju and Anupam Trivedi at his official residence here. He said the RSS has strengthened the ideals …

West Asia conflict | ‘India’s position is right’: Poland backs India’s stance

Poland on Monday voiced support for India’s stance on the West Asia conflict, with the Polish Secretary of State and Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski terming New Delhi’s approach as the “right position” and stressing that the ongoing crisis should be resolved through diplomacy while ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking to ANI in New Delhi, Bartoszewski said India’s role as a major economy and energy importer made its balanced approach significant amidst the ongoing conflict. He said, “India’s position is the right position because you are a big country, an important country, and you benefit from free access to goods, including oil, and you depend very much on the oil and gas from the Gulf. Poland still maintains contact with Iran… We informed them that our preferred solution is a diplomatic one. So we do the same thing as Prime Minister Modi. We try to talk reason, but to moderate effect, I would say.” On the ongoing West Asia conflict, the Polish minister underlined that international waterways, that is, …

‘Compromised PM listens like an obedient servant’: Rahul Gandhi slams Modi

In a post on X, the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition said, “Just days after the murder of three Indian sailors in American attacks – no remorse, no apology. On the contrary, America has continued issuing orders.” “Read their words: `Comply immediately with the orders of the US military.` No violation `will be tolerated’,” he added. “A free country would never tolerate such language. But our Compromised PM? Silent. They listen like an obedient servant and comply with the orders. Compromised PM will not defend the country`s honor–because those who insult the country are under their control,” Gandhi further stated.
