Hezbollah distracts IDF, bleeds Israelis just before Iran’s new missile attack after US talks fail?

Published on Apr 13, 2026 05:45 pm IST Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah are rapidly escalating as fresh rocket attacks and airstrikes intensify along the Lebanon border. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that two soldiers were wounded in southern Lebanon after a Hezbollah strike, highlighting the growing volatility in the region. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple locations, including Nabatieh and Maifadoun, as part of ongoing military operations. Lebanese officials report a heavy human toll, with over 2,000 people killed and thousands more injured since early March, including children. The situation has raised serious concerns about a broader regional conflict, especially amid fears of Iran’s potential involvement following failed peace talks. In a significant move, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited southern Lebanon, signaling strong military resolve. Accompanied by top defense officials, Netanyahu reviewed frontline operations and praised troop morale, reinforcing Israel’s stance amid rising threats. As cross-border clashes continue and diplomacy falters, the risk of a wider war looms large. Stay tuned for the latest updates on this developing geopolitical crisis.   Home / …

Israel Agrees To Ceasefire Deal With Lebanon. Here’s What The Pact States

Tel Aviv: In a significant development in West Asia, Israel has agreed to a ceasefire with Lebanon. The agreement comes into effect at midnight (Israel time) on November 27. Israel’s Security Cabinet, the country’s top decision-making body under the government has agreed to the ceasefire. “The length of the ceasefire depends on what happens in Lebanon. We will enforce the agreement and respond forcefully to any violation. We will continue united until victory,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said in his speech after the agreement. “We will complete the task of obliterating Hamas, we will bring home all of our hostages, we will ensure that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel and we will return the residents of the north back home safely. The war will not end until we realize all its goals, including the return of the residents of the north safely home. And I tell you, it will happen, just like it happened in the south,” Mr Netanyahu added. He then gave 3 reasons why Israel agreed to the ceasefire: “The first …

Reports Claim Iran Leader In Coma. His Office Shares Pic Of Meeting Envoy

Amid reports that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is in a coma, Iran’s Supreme Leader on Sunday posted a picture of himself meeting an Iranian ambassador. Multiple media reports recently claimed that Khamenei, 85, was in a coma and that he had nominated his 55-year-old son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as his successor in a secret meeting. The reports came after The New York Times in October said that Khamenei was “seriously ill.” In the picture posted on Khamenei’s X account, he was seen talking to Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani in his office. “Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, met and talked with Mr Mojtaba Amani, the veteran ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, at noon today, on the sidelines of his daily meetings,” he wrote in Persian. ظهر امروز یکشنبه ۲۷ آبان ۱۴۰۳؛ دیدار و گفت‌وگو با آقای مجتبی امانی، سفیر جانباز جمهوری اسلامی ایران در لبنان pic.twitter.com/ctIRbi9bVA — KHAMENEI.IR | فارسی 🇮🇷 (@Khamenei_fa) November 17, 2024 Amani was among nearly 3,000 people who were injured when pagers and walkie-talkies used …

The pagers and walkie-talkies blew up across Lebanon for two consecutive days on September 17 and 18 in what may be called as an unforeseen development and unexpected warfare.    37 killed, 3,000 injured Notably, the pagers used by Hezbollah operatives detonated on September 17 in supermarkets and streets. A day later, the walkie-talkies exploded at the funeral of those who died in a pager attack. The new blasts came while Lebanon was still thrown into confusion and anger pager bombings. The wave of two attacks led to 37 deaths while nearly 3,000 were wounded. Iran President Meets PM Modi Over West Asia Crisis

Kazan, Russia: With the conflict in West Asia escalating significantly after Israel and Iran threatened each other of an endless series of retaliations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Russia on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in the city of Kazan. India has expressed “deep concern” over the current situation in West Asia and has been calling for “dialogue and diplomacy” to de-escalate the tension in the region also known as the Middle East. The meeting between the two leaders came amid the year-long Israel-Hamas war and the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, and after Iran’s ballistic missile offensive against Israel led to Tel Aviv vowing a massive retaliation. INDIA’S ATTEMPT TO BROKER PEACE Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasised the need for peace in the region and the “role that New Delhi could play in de-escalating the Middle East crisis,” given its good relations with all the parties involved. ‘Mr Secretary General, get UNIFIL forces out of harm’s way in Lebanon’ – India TV

Image Source : AP Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu As a multi-nation joint statement, also backed by India, strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks on the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday (October 13) appealed to the UN Secretary General António Guterres to withdraw United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) from the “Hezbollah strongholds” and “get them out of the harms way immediately”. This comes as a joint statement, initially co-signed by 34 countries, condemned the attack in which at least five UNIFIL peacekeepers were wounded in recent days in the Israeli troops’ offensives in southern Lebanon as part of its campaign against Hezbollah. What did Netanyahu tell UN? Prime Minister’s Office of Netanyahu shared a recorded video in which the Israeli PM said, “I would like to appeal directly to the UN Secretary General: The time has come for you to withdraw UNIFIL from Hezbollah strongholds and from the combat zones.” Netanyahu said that the Israeli military has requested UN peacekeeping personnel “repeatedly” that has “met with repeated …

‘Israel will win with or without support’ – India TV

Image Source : REUTERS French President Emmanuel Macron and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Amid deteriorating security tensions in West Asia, exacerbated by the deadly conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization, a major diplomatic brawl between Israel and France erupted over the latter’s call for arms embargoes against Jerusalem. This became a central point of their conflict. While French President Emmanuel Macron insisted on halting arms to Israel to reach a political solution in Gaza, the Israeli Prime Minister on Sunday (October 6) called it a “shameful” move in a statement. The French President, in his statement to broadcaster France Inter, affirmed: “I think that today, the priority is that we return to a political situation, that we stop delivering weapons to Israel to fight in Gaza.” This remark received significant backlash from a furious Israel, which questioned why, despite fighting the forces of barbarism led by Iran, France and other Western leaders are now calling for arms embargoes. “As Israel fights the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized countries should …
