Israel orders evacuation of northern Gaza hospital; ‘next to impossible’ say medics | World News

Israel ordered the closure and evacuation on Sunday of one of the last hospitals still partly functioning in a besieged area on the northern edge of the Gaza Strip, forcing medics to search for a way to bring hundreds of patients and staff to safety. Watch: Final moments before Israeli soldiers killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar | World News

An Israeli drone captured the last moments of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in a building in Gaza as the mastermind of the deadly October 7 attacks on Israel last year swung a wood towards the drone before he was killed. In a raw footage, being referred to as the last moments of Sinwar before he was eliminated, an injured Sinwar is seen sitting alone on a couch in the destroyed building. The video is posted by Lt Col Nadav Shoshani, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson, on X. How did Israeli military found and killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza? | World News

The Israeli troops had been hunting Gaza based Hamas militant group’s leader Yahya Sinwar since he masterminded the fatal October 7 attack on Israel last year. And more than a year later, it is confirmed that he was killed by Israel Defense Forces in an operation in Gaza on Wednesday. Sinwar, 61, was said to have spent much of his time hiding in the tunnels of Gaza Strip, alongside the barrage of bodyguards and hostages of Israel being used as a ‘human shield’. According to the Israeli military, the IDF was conducting a routine patrol in Rafah on Wednesday and its 828th Bislamach Brigade was patrolling Tal al-Sultan. During the patrol, three militants were identified by the Israeli military and eventually killed in the operation. At first, there didn’t seem to be any remarkable firefight and soldiers didn’t return to the spot until Thursday morning. Iran-Israel attack highlights: Iran launches missile barrage against Israel, escalates Middle East tension | World News

Iran has significantly escalated hostilities with Israel by launching around 200 missiles into Israeli territory. This is the second major attack from Iran this year, following a similar operation in April that involved hundreds of missiles and drones . Israeli military officials have confirmed the attack, stating that while the immediate threat has passed, the full extent of the damage is still being assessed. Why Iran attacked Israel Iran’s recent missile barrage on Israel was a retaliatory response to the alleged killing of key Iranian and Hezbollah commanders by Israel. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) specifically mentioned the deaths of Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah, IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoshan, and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, for which Israel is widely believed to be responsible. What happened so far Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a major operation targeting Israel, firing approximately 180 ballistic missiles, including its new Fatah hypersonic ballistic missiles, at “vital military and security targets,” specifically three military bases in the Tel Aviv area. Nasrallah’s elimination was ‘necessary condition’ for Israel to achieve its war goals: Netanyahu – India TV

Image Source : REUTERS Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday (September 28) said that the elimination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was a “necessary condition” for Israel to achieve its war goals. In his first reaction since Israel took down the militant, Netanyahu said that the killings of other militants of the armed outfit “was not enough”, which is why he came to the conclusion that neutralising Nasrallah was also needed. He blamed Nasrallah for being “the architect” of a plan to “annihilate” Israel. Nasrallah was killed in an airstrike by Israel on the Hezbollah command centre on Friday (September 27), a move which is likely to give a new shape to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East which has raised fears of a full-blown war on the lines of Gaza. “Nasrallah was not just another terrorist, he was the terrorist. He was the axis of the axis, the main engine of Iran’s axis of evil. He and his people were the architects of the plan to destroy …
