One of the bombs, weighing around 200 kg, was unearthed during sand excavation along the Panipada-Nagudsai stretch in Baharagora area last week, around 90 km from Jamshedpur, officials said. The second bomb of a similar shape was discovered in a villager’s house during inspection of the spot on Monday, they said. Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Manav Kedia on Monday urged Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu to develop an airport and start air services from Jharkhand’s industrial hub Jamshedpur. At present, Turboprop aircraft such as HAL DO-228 can be operated to improve the daily air connectivity from Jamshedpur to Kolkata and other cities till the construction of a permanent airport.
