Joyce Polycarp, mother of television personality Malaika Arora and actor Amrita Arora, is currently stuck in Dubai amid the US-Iran conflict. Speaking with Times of India, Joyce recalled witnessing missiles being intercepted in the sky, adding that “it was frightening.” Joyce said she is in safe hands in Dubai. Malaika Arora’s mom is stuck in Dubai Joyce said that she travelled to Dubai to celebrate her elder sister’s birthday. “I came here to celebrate my elder sister’s birthday, and just a couple of days later, we celebrated mine as well. Eritrea’s Berhane Tesfay and Kenya’s Joyce Chepkemoi Tele claimed the elite men’s and women’s titles, respectively, in this World Athletics Gold Label Road Race. Tesfay, 38, clocked 2:11:44 to secure his maiden international marathon title, with Eritrean compatriot Merhawi Kesete (2:11:50) finishing second and Ethiopia’s Tesfaye Demeke (2:11:56) taking third. Tesfay’s strategic push in the final 3 kilometers helped him outpace other contenders, including Kenya’s Philemon Rono and defending champion Lemi Berhanu of Ethiopia, who settled for sixth place.
