His son, filmmaker/producer Karan Johar, has openly talked about the same on several occasions, but in a recent interview Karan mentioned that monetary success did not define his father. He pointed out his qualities and credited him for raising a son who is comfortable in his own skin and knows the importance of being a good human being. Tennis legend Sania Mirza invited Karan for a chat on her show Serving it Up with Sania to talk about his personal life and career. She first shared a small anecdote about her family and said, “I come from a very small family. We travelled across the entire country in some seventh-hand car that would break down every hour.
