(File) In a big decision, the Karnataka State Election Commission on Monday said that ballot paper will be used for Bengaluru Municipal Elections instead of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). This came after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah-led state cabinet had recommended to the state election commission last year to use ballot papers for local elections. “There may be many reasons. Once the state election takes a stand by consulting all the stakeholders in the matter. We have taken a decision,” State Election Commissioner G S Sangreshi said.
