The Akshay Kumar led Kesari: Chapter 2 has shown an encouraging trend at the box office in its opening weekend, as the Karan Singh Tyagi directorial is looking to collect in the range of Rs 11.50 crore to Rs 12.50 crore on the third day as per very early trends. With this, the opening weekend of Kesari 2 stands in the vicinity of Rs 29.50 crore, with the business multiplying on a day-to-day basis. The courtroom drama, set against the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, opened at Rs 7.50 crore on Friday (Good Friday), followed by a jump to Rs 10.00 crore on Saturday and peaking with Rs 12 crore on Sunday. The Akshay Kumar led Kesari: Chapter 2 is aiming to show a growth in business on the second day as per early trends, as the very early estimates are indicating Saturday collections in the range of Rs 8.75 crore to Rs 9.50 crore. The jump is varying from center to center, with some going up by 40 percent, some by 10 percent, and some by 20 percent, with the growth averaging to 20 percent. The positive for the film rests in the fact that it has managed to show gains in business despite coming off the Good Friday Holiday. Kesari 2 box office collection early estimate: Akshay Kumar has returned to the silver screen with Kesari 2, the spiritual sequel to his 2019 film Kesari. The film, also starring R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in lead roles, has only managed to earn Rs 5.46 crore on its release day as of 7:30 pm, according to early estimates by trade tracker Sacnilk. Kesari 2 had about 3619 shows scheduled on Friday. The movie witnessed an overall occupancy of 16.22% on its release day. The morning shows witnessed an occupancy of 12.67%, whereas the afternoon shows saw a slight increase in the footfall with about 19.76% occupancy.
