Delhi`s Patiala House Court on Saturday issued a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against the alleged drug syndicate Kingpin Virender in Rs 5000 crore drug case. NBW has been issued against Virender Singh Baisoya Biru who is an alleged Kingpin of a drug Syndicate investigated by Delhi police special cell. Special Judge (NDPS) Sudhir Kumar Sirohi issued NBW against Virender Singh Baisoya Biru after hearing the application moved by the Investigation Officer (IO). Sadiq, a former DMK functionary who was expelled from the party after his role in the drug racket came to light, had been absconding since the last week of February, after three of his associates were arrested in Delhi. A top officer confirmed that Sadiq was apprehended from a hotel in Jaipur, Rajasthan. A few months ago, the NCB Headquarters, New Delhi, began an investigation following information received from New Zealand customs authorities and the Australian police that large quantities of pseudoephedrine, concealed in desiccated coconut powder, were being sent to both countries from India. Further inputs from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) indicated that the source of the consignments was Delhi. Pseudoephedrine is used to make methamphetamine, a drug that has the highest demand in the world at present, and sells for approximately ₹1.5 …

Ms. Hagaragi, the prime accused in the case and president of Gyan Jyoti English Medium School in Kalaburagi where the alleged malpractices were reported during the recruitment examination held in October 2021, was absconding after her residence and school premises were raided by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in April 2021. After a pursuit of 18 days, CID sleuths eventually nabbed Ms. Hagaragi from her hideout at Pune in Maharashtra. She was brought to Kalaburagi on April 29.
