Chandigarh, A meeting between the Samukta Kisan Morcha , SKM and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha for forging unity to take on the Centre in support of their various demands remained inconclusive on Thursday, though all three farmer bodies said their efforts are on for a joint fight. Another round of unity talks among farmer bodies remains inconclusive It was the fourth round of unity talks between the SKM, SKM and the KMM after the three farmer outfits failed to reach any consensus in the previous three rounds. From the SKM side, farmer leaders Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Raminder Singh Patiala, Darshan Singh, Jhanda Singh Jethuke, Jangveer Singh Chauhan and Harinder Singh Lakhowal were present in the meeting held here on Thursday. A day after the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) non-political group announced the details of their upcoming ‘Dilli Chalo’ foot march, the Haryana government on Monday invited leaders of the farmer unions to a meeting. The meeting was scheduled for 4.30 pm at the police officers’ institute in Ambala. Talking to The Indian Express, KMM union leader Guramneet Singh said, “On Sunday evening, we got a phone call in which we were asked to come to Ambala for a meeting, but we insisted that we would go only after a written invite.
