‘Will keep fighting’: RG Kar victim’s kin on her birthday | Kolkata News
“When she was a student, she would always tell me to make payasam (rice-milk pudding) for her. I can never make that again,” says the mother of the junior doctor who was raped and killed at R G Kar hospital last August. “After she started working, she would tell me not to cook on her birthday, but instead order food from outside. That’s how we celebrated,” she adds. On Sunday, February 9, she would have turned 32. Sitting in her near-empty room, the mother, in tears, says they have no other reason to live except to fight for justice. “The culprits are roaming freely and some are still in the hospital… Will continue our fight for justice till the end. There’s no other reason for us to live,” she says. Disclaimer: We do not own any of the content, ideas, images, or text presented here. All rights belong to their respective owners.
