His appeal comes after meeting deported youths who arrived at Amritsar airport today. Dhaliwal questioned the significance of Modi’s past support for former US President Donald Trump, saying it should now be used to help Indian citizens in distress. “If this friendship cannot assist Indians facing deportation, what is its purpose?” he asked. “These youths had traveled to the US in search of livelihood, investing large sums of money, and their expulsion is a serious concern,” he said.
