Game Changer Box Office Collections: Ram Charan and Shankar film scores a mere 125cr weekend worldwide

Game Changer witnessed another significant drop in collections on Sunday, adding Rs. 17.50 crore approx to its total at the Indian box office. With that, the weekend ended up just over Rs. 100 crore. The film has grossed another USD 3 million (Rs. 25 crore) overseas, for a global weekend of just over Rs. 125 crore. It is essentially “game over” for the film as collections have plummeted to alarmingly low levels. In the Telugu states, the film managed only Rs. 6.50 crore on Sunday—likely the second-lowest Sunday figure for a major Telugu release in recent memory. The only film worse is Bhola Shankar, which was already a write-off before release, opening to Rs. 16 crore on its first day and dropping to Rs. 5.50 crore on Sunday. Here, the starting point was nearly 3 times higher at Rs. 42 crore but crashed to a similar level on the third day. It was thought that the Sankranti holidays would carry the film over Rs. 100 crore mark in the Telugu states but that is now an impossible …

Pushpa 2 APTS Box Office Analysis: Allu Arjun film is a massive BLOCKBUSTER

The final number in Telugu states is expected to close at Rs. 342 crore. Breaking down, the film’s performance in three box office divisions of Telugu states; it has performed best in Ceded. Box Office: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 Becomes Highest Grossing Film in India Overtaking Baahubali 2

Box Office: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 Becomes Highest Grossing Film in India Overtaking Baahubali 2

It took 7 years, 8 months and 3 days for a film to finally dethrone Baahubali 2 as the highest-grossing film in India and that film is Pushpa 2. On its fifth Saturday yesterday, Pushpa 2 grossed Rs. 6 crore at the Indian box office, bringing its total gross to Rs. 1345 crore, just Rs. 2 crore short of the record. By the time you are reading this, Pushpa 2 has bridged the gap. Pushpa 2 was considered the strongest contender to take down Baahubali 2 ever since the original was released in 2021 to a huge appreciation in the Hindi belt of India. The film delivered on the same and it was the Hindi belt that paved its way to the top, emerging as the highest-grossing film in nearly every state of the Hindi belt, excluding just a few. Pushpa 2 joins the club of twenty-some films that have claimed the title of highest-grosser of all time in the box office history of India, which are listed below. While there may have been some …

Top Highest Grossing Films in India in 2024: Pushpa 2 rules the top followed by Kalki and Stree 2

Top Highest Grossing Films in India in 2024: Pushpa 2 rules the top followed by Kalki and Stree 2

In the year 2024, the Indian box office showcased a mixed bag of outcomes. While the year saw three mega-grossers, including Pushpa 2, which is on its way to becoming the highest-grossing film of all time, the overall performance across industries, barring Malayalam and to an extent Telugu, painted a subdued picture. Bollywood, the country’s biggest film industry, probably had its worst year ever, not counting the COVID years. While Stree 2 became the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, only six films managed to cross the Rs. 100 crore GROSS mark. For context, 2023 saw seventeen films grossing over Rs. 100 crore and in the pre-pandemic peak of 2019, twenty films hit the century mark. Even a decade ago, in 2014, ten films managed to surpass this figure. The problem wasn’t that there were many flops but that there weren’t any releases during the long stretches of the year. Looking ahead, 2025 looks better for the industry with a much better release schedule. Kollywood also had a similar sort of year coming from a very strong 2023 but remained largely devoid of big grossers this year. Only two films, The …

Central India Crowns Pushpa 2 as the All-Time Box Office Champion, Surpassing Baahubali 2

Central India Crowns Pushpa 2 as the All-Time Box Office Champion, Surpassing Baahubali 2

Pushpa 2 (Hindi) is on the brink of becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India. After fourteen days in theatres, the film has amassed Rs. 552.50 crore nett, currently trailing behind Stree 2 (Rs. 580 crore) and Jawan (Rs. 558 crore). However, this gap is due to a lower contribution from South India, unlike the other two films. It is when you compare circuit numbers from the Hindi belt, that the true magnitude of the box office phenomenon becomes evident and nowhere else is it more prominent than Central India. In Bollywood trade, Central India is traditionally defined as a circuit comprising Western Madhya Pradesh. For this article, it refers to the geographical centre of the country, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and parts of Maharashtra. While Gujarat is technically in Western India, its proximity to the central region and its similar movie-going preferences make it a relevant inclusion. Pushpa 2 has become the highest-grossing movie of all time in Central India, overtaking Baahubali 2. The total collections in the region stand …
