The two-time Paralympic medalist Avani Lekhra will begin her highly-anticipated campaign while the young archer will feature in the round of 16 match on Friday, August 30. India failed to open their medals account on Day 1 but Sheetal made the headlines with her season-best performance in the ranking round of the women’s individual compound event. She scored 703 points to finish second in the ranking round and will return to action on Saturday. In the first medal match on Friday, Karam Jyoti and Sakshi Kasana will feature in the women’s discus throw F55 final.
