Maharashtra govt has signed MoUs worth Rs 4,080 cr in electronic, logistics: CM

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said Maharashtra has a unique opportunity to emerge as a leader in electronics manufacturing and modern logistics. Speaking at the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at his official residence, Varsha, Fadnavis assured investors that the state government would act as a partner in their growth journey. “The government`s role is to help create a complete industrial ecosystem in the state. Entrepreneurs should consider the government as their partner in this journey,” he said. The agreements were signed between the Maharashtra government and leading electronics manufacturing company Jabil, as well as Dubai-based RSA Global, an official statement said. A Gurugram-based businessman and his wife have been booked by the economic offences wing (EOW)-I for allegedly duping a farmer from Hisar of more than ₹2.36 crore on the pretext of offering franchise rights linked to an international logistics company, police said on Sunday. The complainant submitted WhatsApp chats and bank records after no formal agreement or franchise rights were provided. The company said the new development is in tune with the airport’s capacity building plans to nearly double its annual cargo capacity to one million metric tons, positioning Bengaluru as a critical export gateway and aligning the FedEx investment with India’s next phase of high-growth manufacturing and trade.
