Eleven India-bound vessels have successfully transited through the Strait of Hormuz after the United States (US) and Iran finalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at ending the recent conflict in West Asia, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Tuesday. The list also includes one foreign-flagged LPG carrier, one foreign-flagged crude oil tanker and six foreign-flagged bulk carriers transporting fertilizer cargo destined for India. The LPG carrier MT Sarv Shakti, carrying 46,313 tonnes of cooking gas, has safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz and is expected to reach Visakhapatnam on May 13, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said on Sunday, reported IANS.
