Over 20 people rescued after fire breaks out at EV showroom in Indore

Over 20 people from six families were rescued safely on Friday morning after a fire broke out at an Electric Vehicle (EV) showroom in Indore, trapping residents who lived on the upper floors of the mixed-use building.  Police and fire brigade teams, aided by neighbours, used ladders and ropes to bring them down. The incident occurred around 8 A.M. near Khalsa Chowk in the Lasudia area. The fire started in the EV showroom located on the ground floor of the apartment complex. Residents sleeping in flats above woke up when their rooms filled with smoke and they began experiencing breathing difficulties. With flames rising from below, the exit route was blocked and residents on the upper floors were unable to come down. Hearing screams, residents of a nearby multi-story building stepped forward to help. They arranged ladders and ropes and instructed those trapped to move to the roof. Two dead, 17 injured after minibus crashes and overturns on highway in MP

At least two people were killed and 17 others were injured after a minibus overturned onto a motorcycle in Madhya Pradesh`s Khargone district on Monday morning, police said, reported the PTI. Among the deceased were a woman and her 16-year-old daughter, it said.  The accident took place on the Khandwa-Baroda National Highway near Magariya village, under the jurisdiction of Jaitapur Police Station, around 11 kilometres from the district headquarters. According to police, the minibus driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid an oncoming car. The vehicle then overturned onto a motorcycle travelling on the highway, the news agency reported. The victims, identified as Monu (40) and her daughter Anita (16), were riding pillion on the motorcycle and died at the scene. The woman`s husband, who was driving the two-wheeler, suffered injuries in the crash. Twisha Sharma death case: Husband Samarth Singh sent to seven-day police remand

A Bhopal district court on Saturday sent Samarth Singh, husband of model-turned-actor Twisha Sharma and the prime accused in her alleged suicide case, to seven days of police remand. Singh was produced before the court amid tight security, a day after he was taken into custody from Jabalpur. Before being brought to court, he was taken to Jai Prakash (JP) Hospital for a mandatory medical examination under police supervision. He was later escorted to the district court in a heavily guarded convoy. A large police deployment was made at the court premises to manage the crowd and prevent any untoward incident amid growing public attention surrounding the case. Singh was produced before Judicial Magistrate Anudita Gupta under tight security. He was brought to court at around 3.15 pm, following which the court granted police custody remand for seven days. A major fire broke out at a warehouse in the Khajrana locality of Indore in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, prompting a large-scale firefighting operation by the fire department.
