Few weeks after his stinging criticism of his predecessor Viswanathan Anand over the jeans controversy, former world champion Magnus Carlsen has praised the Indian legend and spoken about the time when he was blown away by the five-time world champion. Former world champion Magnus Carlsen was the latest guest on podcast Joe Rogan’s show where the grandmaster spent over two hours speaking his mind on various issues. This included his very-public feud with Hans Niemann which resulted in a $100 million lawsuit. Carlsen also spoke about the state of chess and praised his successor on the world champion’s throne D Gukesh, who last became the youngest world champion in the history of the sport.
