WITH THE final snan of the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj having concluded on Maha Shivratri Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth will on Thursday felicitate sanitation workers, interact with boatmen as well as UPSRTC drivers, police personnel as well as administrative officials deployed at Maha Kumbh for the past one-and-a half month and thank them personally for their services. Officials informed that Adityanath would arrive at Maha Kumbh site around 11:30 am and spend over six hours interacting with different groups and expressing his gratitude to each. He will first facilitate sanitation workers and distribute certificates under “Swatcha Kumbh Kosh” that would include under Ayushman Bharat as well as an insurance policy. The CM will interact with the boatmen and UPSRTC drivers engaged in connection with the Maha Kumbh. The number of devotees taking a dip at the Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj crossed the 50-crore mark on Friday, making it the largest congregation in the history for any religious, cultural, or social event, the Uttar Pradesh government claimed. On main bathing days, Mauni Amavasya on January 29 saw the biggest gathering, with 8 crore devotees taking a dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati river. On Makar Sankranti (January 14), nearly 3.5 crore devotees participated in the Amrit Snan while more than 2 crore devotees took a bath on January 30 and February 1, the government said.
