Dehradun, A ‘Mahapanchayat’ was held here on Friday, led by farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, to demand justice for Divyanshu Jatrana, who died in a clash stemming from a turf war between two groups studying at a private university. While consoling Divyanshu’s grandfather, Tikait, the national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Kisan Union , stated that, much like Divyanshu’s family, there are thousands of people who send their children to Dehradun and Mussoorie for their education using their hard-earned money; however, incidents like Divyanshu’s murder have left them deeply concerned about the safety of their children.
