A Chandigarh district court Tuesday issued a notice to actress BJP Mandi Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut and two others on a complaint filed by a city advocate, seeking an FIR against them for allegedly maligning the image of Sikhs in their upcoming film ‘Emergency’. Hearing a complaint filed by Ravinder Singh Bassi, an advocate at the Chandigarh district court and president of Lawyers for Humanity, an NGO, Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Ankit Airi issued notice to Ranaut, screenplay writer Ritesh Shah and Zee Studios to file their reply by December 5. Advocate Bassi, confirmed that a notice has been issued in the matter and the respondent parties, will have to appear before the Court. A detailed order from the Court was yet to be released.
