The Indian duo of Udayan Mane and Angad Cheema posted scores of seven-under 65 to be part of the five-way lead on the opening day of the US$ 300,000 Delhi Challenge 2025, a HotelPlanner Tour & PGTI joint sanctioned event, being played at the Classic Golf & Country Club. Mane had a bogey-free round while Cheema’s round featured eight birdies and a bogey. The two Indians share the lead with Spaniard Quim Vidal, Swede Jasper Sandborg and Englishman Jamie Rutherford. Frenchmen Oihan Guillamoundeguy and Robin Sciot-Siegrist as well as American Davis Bryant were placed one shot off the lead in tied sixth position. Honey Baisoya struck a 67 to be the third Indian in the top-10 as he occupied tied ninth position. Welshman James Ashfield made a hole-in-one on the 11th during his round of 70. Maharashtra’s 17-year-old Parth Mane emerged victorious in a men’s 10m air rifle field stacked with Olympians and a former world champion at the 2025 National Games in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on Friday. The teenager, who had finished third in the qualification rounds a day prior, shot an excellent 252.6 in the final to win a gold medal on his National Games debut. Parth pipped former world champion Rudrankksh Patil, who took home the silver medal with a score of 252.1 for Maharashtra. Kiran Jadhav of Services won the bronze medal with 230.7. “I just wanted to follow my process,” Parth told The Bridge soon after his win. “I did not have the stature of opponents in my mind. Shahu Tushar Mane clinched the gold medal in the men’s 10m Air Rifle competition, edging out his opponents for his first senior national title, at the MP State Academy Shooting Range, in Bhopal on Monday. The competition saw Mane deliver a near-perfect performance in the edge-of-the-seat 24-shot final, winning by the smallest of margins. The 22-year-old from Kolhapur, representing Indian Railways, shot an impressive series, with all his shots staying above 10.1. Despite a late surge from Dhanush Srikanth, who finished just 0.1 points behind with 252.2, Mane held his ground. Srikanth’s chances were hampered by a 9.8 in his fifth shot, which proved costly. The two finalists fired identical scores of 10.6 and 10.5 in the final rounds, and Mane confirmed his gold medal with that.
