Bryan Johnson’s “Instruction Manual” on Teaching Kids About Intimacy

Bryan Johnson’s “Instruction Manual” on Teaching Kids About Intimacy

3 min readNew DelhiApr 25, 2026 12:00 AM IST Many parents feel uncomfortable discussing sexuality with their children, something experts point out begins with compassionate discussions about gender. To initiate a discussion with his young adult son on intimacy, American biohacker Bryan Johnson wrote an instruction manual after his kid raised questions on the subject. “We have this entire generation of people who have not been educated on how to make love, and what exactly happens,” the longevity entrepreneur told Business Insider. “When you put your hand on your partner and move it fast, the body processes that touch differently. If you move it slower than 3 cm per second, the nerve fibres say, ‘I feel intimate.’ The speed of touch communicates to the nerve fibres how we are connected…People read this (manual) and went, ‘This is like 50 Shades of Grey, longevity version,’” he added.  Broaching the topic According to Shravani Bongu, Psychologist and PhD Scholar, children are naturally curious. If parents do not provide answers, children will seek other, perhaps less reliable, sources. …

Salman Khan’s Tere Naam re-release: Why bring back a manual of red flags that should have stayed in 2003? | Bollywood News

As part of PVR and INOX’s “month of love” re-releases, the 2003 cult film Tere Naam returns to theatres today. While Himesh Reshammiya’s chart-busters and Salman Khan’s iconic hairstyle might draw a crowd, we need to have a serious conversation: Why are we celebrating the “OG” of toxic obsession as a celebration of love? Tere Naam is perhaps the last film one should revisit while talking about love, or even trying to understand it, in 2026. For years now, Hindi cinema has struggled with the romanticisation of deeply problematic male protagonists. In recent years also, there has been a pattern of blurring the line between obsession and passion – from Kabir Singh to Kundan (Raanjhana), Shankar (Tere Ishk Mein), and Vikramaditya (Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat). But Tere Naam’s Radhe didn’t just blur those lines, he erased them altogether. Tere Naam’s Radhe is the OG of toxicity In Tere Naam, Radhe doesn’t merely pursue Nirjara (Bhumika Chawla), he stalks her and ultimately kidnaps her because she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings. He ties her up, threatens her. …

Supreme Court asks Centre, states for their stand on media briefing manual for cops

The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the Centre and the states to respond to a proposed manual on media briefing by police, which was drafted by a senior lawyer assisting as amicus curiae and seeks to ensure that information shared by police does not result in a media trial and protects the dignity and privacy of victims involved in crimes. The Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed by People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) way back in 1999 (HT FILE PHOTO) The 61-page document has called for avoiding use of terms that stigmatise individuals, victim-blaming, moralising and withholding names, faces, voices and family details to prevent re-victimisation and secondary harm to victims. “We will ask the states to go through this document. It is an exhaustive job done by the amicus. We will list the matter after eight weeks,” the bench of justices MM Sundresh and Satish Chandra Sharma said, expressing its appreciation for senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, for putting together the “exhaustive” document. He was assisting the court as amicus curiae, or friend …

Nearly 4,000 Manual Scavengers In Delhi To Receive PPE Kits Ahead Of Monsoon

New Delhi: For the first time, nearly 4,000 manual scavengers in Delhi will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits ahead of the monsoon season. The kits will include 42 safety items such as helmets with lights, gas protection masks, gumboots, protective clothing, gloves, and barrier creams designed to protect against hazardous gases and skin irritants. The initiative is part of the Centre’s ‘Namaste’ (National Action for Mechanised Sanitation Ecosystem) scheme launched in 2023-24 to ensure secure working conditions, financial assistance, and social security benefits for sanitation workers, especially those engaged in cleaning sewers and septic tanks. Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh told PTI that around 4,000 scavengers will get PPE kits before the rains begin. He also directed officials to ensure that all manual scavengers are enrolled under the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme. In addition, departments have been instructed to expedite training and rehabilitation efforts for those involved in manual sewer cleaning and to establish adequate Emergency Response Sanitation Units, Indraj Singh said. All district magistrates have been ordered to …

Highly confidential manual guided India’s top officials during conflict with Pak | Latest News India

A blue-coloured, limited-edition government manual of over 200 pages, which is not in the public domain, has served as a go-to handbook for key bureaucrats across the country during the past week, as it outlined the response and functions of various arms of government during an armed conflict. While its contents are a secret, this 15-year-old manual is being publicly cited by all authorities. (ANI) The Union War Book 2010 is the original limited edition, so secretive that the ministry of defence, ministry of home affairs and the cabinet secretariat officials who helped prepare it and update it annually can’t tell you who its rightful keepers are but HT learns that there is one copy with each state chief secretary apart from the Union ministries involved. And from fire drills to evacuations and sirens, the entire emergency response to-do list is dictated by this book lying on their desks. “It tells these key officers what each one of them should do in case of a war. So there is no confusion at all and everybody …

Maharashtra FYJC admissions: No system of manual submission of marks for non-state board Class 10 students | Mumbai News

Maharashtra FYJC admissions: No system of manual submission of marks for non-state board Class 10 students | Mumbai News

In order to prevent fraud in First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions in Maharashtra, the school education department has decided that non-state board students will no longer be allowed to manually submit their Class 10 marks to the system. Like Maharashtra State Board students, their marks too will now be directly sourced by the system from verified sources or respective schools, ensuring fairness and preventing manipulation. This move comes after unravelling of fraudulent admissions at Mumbai’s Somaiya Trust-run junior colleges a few months ago. The education department’s inquiry had revealed that securing seats through fraudulent means was made possible as these applicants were able to manually enter their marks into the system, a loophole which enabled them to submit multiple applications under one name. According to the existing system, for applicants of FYJC from Maharashtra State Board, their Class 10 scores are directly sourced from the state board, leaving no room for errors or duplication. However, FYJC applicants from non-state boards such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary …

Amicus curiae, senior advocate K. Parameshar, however, said the data presented by the States to the Union government might not be accurate as some of these districts had not constituted committees to monitor and check the practice under the law. A December 2024 hearing had witnessed the Bench observe that claims of fraternity, equality and dignity among citizens remain …
