THE STATE Assembly witnessed an uproar on Monday, when Samajwadi Party (SP) legislators entered the well of the House demanding resignation and apology from Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Medical and Health Brajesh Pathak over his remarks that the SP claimed were aimed at SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav. Even as Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna pointed out that Pathak did not take anyone’s name, SP MLAs alleged that the Deputy CM’s remarks were “disrespectful” and demanded that Pathak “quit”. The house was adjourned for over an hour as the SP MLAs refused to go to their seats.
