Sukhamano Sukhamann movie review: Mathew Thomas’ film is pure torture | Movie-review News

Sukhamano Sukhamann movie review and rating: When the writer of Vettah (2016), Arunlal Ramachandran, makes his directorial debut, one would naturally expect that the movie would be at least worth the time. Although Vettah wasn’t extraordinary, it was still a solid mystery thriller and became yet another feather in the cap of the late renowned director Rajesh Pillai. Its labyrinthine screenplay, which also resembled a large puzzle with too many pieces, was impressive, underscoring Arunlal’s potential. However, Sukhamano Sukhamann, his first attempt at filmmaking, can only be described, in the most civil manner, as an abomination that tests one’s patience to the brink. Following the deaths of his last known relatives, Theo (Mathew Thomas) has been leading a barren existence in his big, old house, with no friends, acquaintances, or anyone to talk to. What makes matters worse is his childhood trauma. However, his life changes when he stumbles upon the ghost of an elderly man (Spadikam George), who becomes his new relative. Thus, Theo realises the way he can create a new family. For …

Mathew Thomas responds to criticism of his ‘overacting’ in Bromance: ‘When I approached the character of Binto…’ | Malayalam News

For actor Mathew Thomas, collaborations with director Arun D Jose have played a key role in his career growth. From the filmmaker’s debut movie Jo and Jo (2022) to later projects like Journey of Love 18+ (2023), Samadhana Pusthakam (2024) — in which Arun served only as one of the co-writers — and Bromance (2025), each film has contributed to Mathew’s fame and also helped him hone his craft. Even in their latest movie, Bromance, he played a character, Binto Varghese, that required him to take on fresh challenges, including performing a full-fledged action set piece involving many characters. However, unlike their previous ventures, Mathew’s performance in Bromance was not well-received, particularly his portrayal of Binto’s outbursts as he struggles with anger management. While he is elated at the movie’s success, Mathew has not turned a blind eye to the feedback. In an exclusive conversation with SCREEN, he addressed the criticism in depth and shared his perspective on what might have gone wrong. Is Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, actor-filmmaker Dhanush’s repayment of a 23-year-old loan? | Tamil News

Is Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, actor-filmmaker Dhanush’s repayment of a 23-year-old loan? | Tamil News

In 2001, at the turn of the millennium, when things around the world changed rapidly, and nothing was the same anymore… Tamil cinema was ushering in a new age of stars. In January, Ajith Kumar had his Dheena hit screens worldwide, which gave him the moniker of ‘Thala’. Vijay was simultaneously cementing his stardom with back-to-back successes like Friends, Badri, and Shahjahan. Basically, although Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were still going strong, Vijay and Ajith were claiming their spots as the next in line to ascend that ladder, and actors like Vikram and Suriya brushed off their insipid starts to get back into the big leagues. Interestingly, the only notable young actor to make his big screen debut was Shaam, who starred in Jeeva’s 12B. Then, in 2002, something really interesting happened.  While the Ajiths and Vijays moved on from being the adolescent cubs to adult lions, Tamil cinema had the space for a new set of young cubs to find their place under the sun. There was Srikanth (Roja Kootam), Prasanna (Five Star), Jeevan …
